Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to enter the 2018 Winter Scene Holiday Card Contest.

The Division of University Advancement is hosting a holiday card design contest that will run from Aug. 27 through Sept. 17. University of Arkansas students, faculty and staff are all eligible to enter.

Entries will be accepted in three categories: graphic design, photography and painting or hand illustration. One winner will be chosen from each category, and each entry should depict a winter scene. The final visual element must fit into a 5x7 format and can be either horizontal or vertical.

Winning entries will receive a $50 gift card, design credit on the printed cards and a brief bio published in Arkansas Newswire. The chosen designs will be featured on the 2018 holiday cards for the Division of Advancement, the Office of University Development and the Office of Annual Giving.

Graphic design entries should be submitted in a press quality PDF with a bleed, if applicable, and use the phrase "Happy Holidays," "Seasons Greetings" or no phrasing at all. Entries for photography should be sent as a high-resolution jpeg file with 300 DPI. Painted or hand-illustrated entries should be submitted as a high-quality jpeg with the option of being photographed, if needed.

All entries should include:

  • Individual's name
  • Preferred email
  • Preferred phone number
  • Student, faculty or staff classification
  • Major, if a student
  • Hometown

Submissions will be accepted through Sept. 17 and can be emailed to Jennifer Holland at jholland@uark.edu.
