Kick Off the Semester by Helping Save Lives in Your Community
Pat Walker Health Center Wellness & Health Promotion Department and the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks are teaming up for a two-day summer blood drive.
Event Details:
- Date: Aug. 21-22
- Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Location: Pat Walker Health Center - 1st Floor Classrooms
Donating blood, apart from the obvious benefit of saving lives, is also great for overall wellness.
"Wellness is all about living life with high levels of awareness, consciousness, intentional choice, interconnectedness, love, meaning and purpose," said Ed Mink, Ph.D, director of wellness and health promotion at Pat Walker Health Center. "Donating blood is a wonderful way to practice wellness in your own life."
All donors will receive a free T-shirt!
Donors should make sure to bring a photo ID, as well as make sure to eat well and drink plenty of fluids before donating blood.
