Registration Open for Eight-Week Krav Maga Self-Defense Course

Pat Walker Health Center's Wellness & Health Promotion department is offering an eight-week, Krav Maga self-defense course starting May 29.

The class will be held on Tuesday evenings from 5 to 6 p.m., in the health center's new classrooms.

Krav Maga is the self-defense method that incorporates hand-to-hand combat techniques developed by the Israeli Defense Force. This beginners-level class will cover ways to escape from a vary of attacks like bear hugs, choke holds, and shirt grabs.

Registration for the course is required and limited to 25 participants. The cost of the program is $40 for students and $55 for faculty/staff. No prior experience in Krav Maga is required.

To register for Krav Maga Self-Defense, see the front desk staff at the Pat Walker Health Center, 525 N. Garland Avenue, or call 479-575-4451.
