University Academic Honors Now on Transcript
University of Arkansas undergraduate students will now see special honors noted on their academic transcripts. Beginning this term, the Office of the Registrar will note Dean's and Chancellor's List recognition on the transcripts of students who earn those distinctions.
"While the Office of Registrar began this process with the fall 2017 Dean's and Chancellor's Lists, we have updated transcripts dating back to fall 2015 with the appropriate notations," said Dave Dawson, associate vice provost for enrollment services and university registrar. "Standardized criteria for the Dean's List were first established across campus in fall 2015."
Undergraduate students who complete at least 12 semester hours required for graduation and achieve a 3.75-4.0 grade point average are eligible for the Dean's List in their respective colleges. The Chancellor's List recognizes undergraduate students who achieve a 4.0 grade point average while completing at least 12 semester hours. Students receive these honors at the end of each regular fall and spring term.
"The Dean's and Chancellor's Lists represent an important way that the university recognizes exemplary academic performance. Students who earn these distinctions should have them reflected on their transcripts. We are excited to have this process in place," said Dawson.
The Dean's and Chancellor's List notation appears in the heading for each term on both unofficial and official transcripts. Current students can navigate to their unofficial transcript from their student homepage in UAConnect by clicking on the "Academic Records" tile, then selecting "My Academics."
