Learn About Healthy Relationships at CAPS Activity Fair

Don't get sucked into bad relationship habits.

When you are in a relationship — as a romantic partner, friend or roommate — the best person to talk to about the problems in your relationship is the person you're in a relationship with.

But sometimes that is easier said than done.

On Thursday, Feb. 8, Pat Walker Health Center's Counseling and Psychological Services will host the Relationships Are Sweet activity fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Arkansas Union Connections Lounge.

This annual event offers several different activities, games and resources centered around creating and maintaining healthy relationships, as well as a chance to engage with relationship experts from the health center and University Housing.

The event will offer various tables/booths that touch on specific topics such as:

  • Roommate relationships
  • Sexual health and safe sex
  • LGBTQ relationships
  • Multicultural relationships and diversity
  • Relationship and sexual violence
  • Relationships and wellness
  • Ask-a-Relationship Counselor

Students who visit all activity tables will be entered into a drawing for one of three grand prizes!

"Relationships are one of the top reasons students seek out services from CAPS, so we are thrilled to be able to help students have healthy and positive physical and emotional relationships," said Kendra Glasper, senior mental health clinician and outreach coordinator for CAPS. "We get a lot of positive feedback about this event each year, which is why we are always very excited to host the 'Relationships Are Sweet' event."
