FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Eric Andrew Roberts, 45, of Springdale, associate director for information technology for University Housing, passed away Nov. 1.

Roberts worked his entire career — more than 24 years — at University Housing, starting as a student, working in various roles starting in 1993. When he graduated from the U of A in 1999, he became a full-time appointed employee.

Roberts served on multiple committees and projects and presented at numerous national conferences. He was crucial in the development and progression of information technology within University Housing and the University of Arkansas campus as a whole.

"Everything Eric did was to enhance the student’s experience. He was a cherished member of the University Housing family and the university campus,” said Flo Johnson, assistant vice chancellor for University Housing. “His loss and our grief are unmeasurable."

Roberts was born July 16, 1972 in Des Moines, Iowa. Survivors include his wife, Donna Roberts; his parents, Diane and Austin Roberts; his son, Kenton and daughter, Katie Roberts. A full obituary can be found online.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday Nov. 11 at Cross Church Springdale, 1709 Johnson Road, Springdale.
