For a limited time, faculty and staff can take advantage of all UREC has to offer. During the month of May, new members will receive an additional free month when they sign up for an annual membership. This offer can be redeemed anytime in May.

University Recreation's mission is to engage and enhance the University of Arkansas community through diverse recreational, social, and wellness opportunities. One of the most popular amenities available to UREC members is access to two on-campus fitness centers: the Donna Axum Fitness Center in the HPER building and the UREC Fitness Center in the Arkansas Union. Both facilities include a diverse selection of cardio equipment, free weights, and selectorized strength training equipment.

Additional benefits include access to an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a running track, bouldering and climbing walls, free day lockers, and the ability to check out informal recreation equipment at no extra cost. Faculty and staff members also have access to a wide variety of group fitness classes at no extra cost.

To become a member, individuals may visit the UREC Main Office in HPER 225, which is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Payroll deduction is available.  For more information, please contact the UREC Main Office at 479-575-4646.
