Support Your Community and Help Save Lives By Giving Blood

The Pat Walker Health Center and the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks are teaming up for a springtime, 'freshly squeezed' blood drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, in the Wellness Center on Garland. All donors will receive a free T-shirt!

Donors should make sure to bring a photo ID, as well as make sure to eat well and drink plenty of fluids before donating blood.

Earlier this semester, the health center and CBCO partnered for the annual Well Pig Sooie Blood Drive, and the University of Arkansas community showed up with phenomenal numbers!

During the two-day event, 240 pints of blood were collected from 350 participants, 187 of which were first-timers. That blood collected helped save the lives of up to 720 people.
