The McMillion Innovation Studio

Startup Junkie, known globally for building startups and entrepreneurial communities, is setting up regular meetings at the McMillion Innovation Studio to hear student, faculty and staff ideas for innovative new businesses.

Consultants from Startup Junkie will hold regular "office hours" in the studio at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas starting in April to discuss ideas and give advice on next steps budding entrepreneurs should take.

"I could not be more excited with the prospect of working even more closely with Clint Johnson and the McMillon Studio team," said Jeff Amerine, the founding principal of Startup Junkie. "Having members of the Startup Junkie Consulting team available on a regular basis for office hours at the McMillon Studio will provide that critical link to seasoned mentors and commercialization experts that can help turn student innovation into real ventures."

The first meeting is set for 1 to 2 p.m. April 19 in the McMillon Family Retail Innovation Lab located at the Harmon Parking Facility on the University of Arkansas campus. A calendar of regular hours for the meetings through the summer and fall will be announced later.

"We are excited to team up with Startup Junkie and provide a great resource for U of A students," said Clint Johnson, director of the McMillon Innovation Studio. "I've been amazed by the number of students who are using the studio to start their small business. I think that providing easy, on campus, access to Startup Junkie will be a real help for those students and many others like them."
