All University of Arkansas faculty, staff and administrators are invited to join the monthly Queer Beers LGBTQA Happy Hour.

The next event will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at Farrell's Lounge in Fayetteville. Attendees do not need to identify as LGBTQ to participate — all queer folk, partners, friends and allies are welcome.

The goal of the happy hour is to build a more visible community and network among faculty, staff and administration as well as provide social support.

"We want to bring people together from all across the university and surrounding NWA community that might not otherwise meet or might not have the space to meet," said Justin Barnum, one of the event's organizers and an instructor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice within the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences.
