Love Yourself Week Promotes Self-Empowerment, Love and Compassion
Love Yourself Week is an opportunity to promote positive self-awareness with inclusive and encouraging activities.
From Monday to Friday, Feb. 13-17, University Recreation will host the second annual Love Yourself Week. This week-long event will feature daily activities to promote self-love, self-empowerment, and self-compassion. Participate in one of the daily activities and show how you choose to love yourself.
Each day, a different wellness or hands-on activity will take place on various locations around campus to emphasize the importance of self-care. Activities will include a mindful yoga empowerment class, free chair massages, interactive tabling events, and more. Prizes and incentives will be offered all week for students, faculty and staff who participate.
Swing by one of the Love Yourself Week tables on Thursday, Feb. 16, at either the HPER or Union and write a thank you note — to yourself. Express what is it that you love about yourself. At the end of the week all thank you notes will be displayed at the UREC Fitness Center entrance for the remainder of the month of February to remind everyone about the importance of self-care.
