Failure can lead to success. Learn to turn your academic lemons into lemonade at the My Biggest Failure event.
My Biggest Failure is an event designed to help students make meaning out of mistakes, recover from failure and connect with support resources on campus.
Students will hear from Ro Di Brezzo, vice provost for faculty development and enhancement. She will speak about how meaningful mistakes and failure can ultimately lead to success.
My Biggest Failure is hosted by University Housing staff. The event starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, in the Verizon Ballroom of Arkansas Union.
Lemons Into Lemonade
Did you make an unsatisfactory grade in a class? Did you make some decisions that led to a conduct situation? Are you hoping to make a bigger impact in the spring semester?
This is a great opportunity for students who struggled their last semester.
Learn strategies to avoid making similar mistakes whether those mistakes are academically or decision making related.
Before the evening begins attendees will get their own chance to literally turn lemons into lemonade and make their own refreshing drink. Additionally, appetizers from Chartwells will be served.
Network and Win
Attendees will receive mentorship and advice from faculty and staff across campus and participate in a few activities to reframe failure. They will even get the chance to win prizes like an Apple Watch, Live Scribe Pen and more.
This is a unique opportunity for self-reflection, networking with campus community members and learning other peoples' stories. Attendees will walk away feeling empowered to make better decisions and armed with resources campus resources to help them be successful.
