Reminder: Lot 44 is Closing Saturday, Nov. 19; All Vehicles Must be Moved

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Lot 44, on the north of side of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, will be temporarily closed starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 as the stadium expansion project begins. The contractor will be bringing in equipment and setting up fences around the construction site over the weekend.

Lot 44 will re-open at 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21 for Faculty/Staff and Reserved parking. All Student parking in the lot will be eliminated.

All vehicles left in the fenced-in south portion of lot 44 after 7 a.m. Monday morning, Nov. 21, will be cited and relocated at the owner’s expense. All student vehicles remaining in lot 44 after 7 a.m. Monday morning, Nov. 21, will also be cited and relocated at the owner’s expense.

Transit and Parking expects to lose 384 parking spaces in lot 44 during the initial phase of construction.

To reduce the impact on students the Athletics Department has worked with Transit and Parking for more than two years to develop additional student parking in lots along Razorback Road, creating approximately 835 newly surfaced parking spots for students.

Students who parked in Lot 44 can now park in lots 74, 74A, 74B, 74C and 74D, on the west side of Razorback Road, west of the outdoor track. These lots are located near Transit bus stops for students’ convenience.

Please note: Lots 74, 74A and 74B must be vacated for home men’s basketball games.

Starting Monday, Nov. 21, students will be allowed to park in lot 44 after 5 p.m. on weekdays and at any time on Saturdays and Sundays.

During the expansion of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium heavy construction equipment will be in the area. Drivers and pedestrians should be careful in all construction zones.
