FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Student Gallery, sUgAR, will host a reception for the exhibition, Things We Have In Common, from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at 1 East Center on the downtown Fayetteville Square.

The Department of Art invites the public to view the creative research of all current Master of Fine Arts degree candidates at the University of Arkansas, completed during the fall 2016 semester. Exhibitors Maryamsadat Amirvaghefi, Daniel Baskin, Parker Boales, Owen Buffington, Nick Cox, Caitlyn DeHart, Erin Gardner, Sam Mack, Thomas McBroom, Michael Pennekamp, Lindsey Heiden, Alexis Kurtzman, Esther Nooner, Richard Peterson, Chris Rodgers, Cassie Sanderson, MaKayla Songer, Jody Thompson, Lauren Whitmore, and Chase Young, will present works in a variety of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, video, photography, printmaking and mixed media.

The sUgAR Gallery is an interdepartmental exhibition space featuring the visual research of students, faculty, and visiting lecturers from the Department of Art and Fay Jones School of Architecture representing the Departments of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Design. SugAR is made possible by the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, the Department of Art, the Fay Jones School of Architecture, and the University of Arkansas' Facilities Management.
