FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Dean Stacy Leeds welcomed scholarship recipients, donors, faculty and guests at the University of Arkansas School of Law's scholarship luncheon Tuesday, April 19.

The attendees heard benefactor remarks from Woody Bassett (J.D. '77), a partner at the Bassett Law Firm, and recipient remarks from Anna Regnier, a second-year law student.

Bassett told the group about how his education from the University of Arkansas School of Law gave him the skills needed to collaborate or contend with attorneys trained anywhere in the country. He gave examples of how the school has served him well in his practice and life.

Regnier thanked the donors for their generous support of students. She reminded them of the critical role that scholarships can play in allowing students to focus on their coursework rather than agonizing over current finances or future debt.

The School of Law offers more than $1 million annually in scholarships. Approximately 70 individuals gathered for the event at University House on the U of A campus.
