Arkansas Teacher Corps Application Deadline Approaching
Arkansas Teacher Corps Fellows attended a professional development event in Little Rock recently.
The early decision deadline for 2016 Arkansas Teacher Corps Fellowships is Dec. 27. The application is open to seniors and degree holders from all majors and backgrounds and can be found on the Arkansas Teacher Corps website.
The Arkansas Teacher Corps recruits, trains, and supports individuals to serve as teachers for Arkansas students who need them the most. ATC aims to provide an accelerated path to teaching for the highest-performing and most talented individuals in order to have a lasting impact on students and communities in Arkansas. The Arkansas Teacher Corps' mission is to help students and communities across the state of Arkansas by providing children with a great education.
Currently, the Arkansas Teacher Corps is seeking high-achieving individuals with a service mindset from all majors and backgrounds to apply for the program. The corps has openings for 30 to 40 full-time paid positions with benefits. Fellows are also paid an additional $15,000 stipend over three years. Individuals who join the program will gain licensure and have the opportunity to receive additional benefits including student loan repayment and teacher retention bonuses.
