Noted Authors, Entrepreneur to Give Lectures at U of A

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Two best-selling authors and an award winning South African entrepreneur will present lectures to the University of Arkansas community as part of the Diversity Scholars Visitation Program Nov. 8-10.

Each of the lectures will focus on how to prepare for leadership roles in a drastically changing world.

Earl Suttle

Earl Suttle is a best-selling motivational author and the founder and chair of Leadership Success International LLC. His company specializes in working with businesses and organizations to increase their profits and productivity through developing their people.

Suttle has led leadership and professional development seminars for multiple Fortune 100 companies. He is currently a consultant to the National Football League, National Baseball Association and World Wrestling Entertainment organization. Suttle’s lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, in Donald Reynolds Auditorium.

Felicia Mabuza-Suttle

Felicia Mabuza-Suttle is an international award-winning entrepreneur, inspirational speaker, author and philanthropist. She is the president and co-owner of Leadership Success International LLC and is a founding member of Pamodzi Investment Holdings. She is known on television as the host of Conversations with Felicia and The Felicia Show.

The Felicia Show was the first audience talk show in South Africa and the first talk show to enable black and white South Africans to debate issues they could not discuss during apartheid. Mabuza-Suttle’s lecture will be at noon Monday, Nov. 9, in the E.J. Ball Courtroom in the University of Arkansas School of Law.

Chris Gardner

Chris Gardner is the author of the New York Times bestselling autobiography The Pursuit of Happyness, which was the inspiration for the Academy Award-nominated movie of the same name. He is an entrepreneur, author, philanthropist and single parent whose work has been recognized by many esteemed organizations.

Gardner is currently working on the production of the first documentary about the life of Maya Angelou. The documentary will premiere on the PBS series American Masters. His lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, in the James and Joyce Faulkner Performing Arts Center.
