Writing Project Offers Conference at Education Co-op
The Northwest Arkansas Writing Project presents the Writing Matters Conference from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Northwest Arkansas Education Service Cooperative in Farmington.
The writing project is affiliated with the National Writing Project and is based in the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas.
Beth Rimer of the National Writing Project is the keynote speaker. Roundtable presenters will offer lessons and strategies to create a culture of writing, get students reading like writers, use discussion to strengthen writing and engage students in inquiry projects.
Online registration is required. The cost is $30 for people who want four hours of professional development credit and free for those who do not want the professional development credit.
