Doctoral Students to Present Research About College

Megan Turk and Greg Stine, University of Arkansas doctoral students in recreation and sport management, will present their research from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, in Room 311 of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building.

Their presentations are part of the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation Research Seminar Series. The seminars are free and open to the public. The series is intended to expose students and faculty to research being conducted in the department. Refreshments will be served.

Turk, a first-year doctoral student working with assistant professor Sarah Stokowski, will present a qualitative study on the experience of Football Championship Subdivision football players.

Stine, a third-year doctoral student working with associate professor Steve Dittmore, will present a study on how variables might help predict positive Academic Progress Rate scores at NCAA Division I institutions.
