Yassaman Mirdamadi, director of the Office of Testing Services, has been awarded the 2015 Service Recognition Award from the National College Testing Association. This marks the sixth consecutive year she has received the honor.

Mirdamadi currently serves as a member of the association's Conference Committee and Strategic Planning Committee. She also chairs the Sponsorships and Exhibits Committee. Her involvement on those committees, paired with the success the University of Arkansas' Office of Testing Services has seen in her nearly 30 years as director, contributed to her selection as the award recipient.

Mirdamadi was delighted to be recognized by the association and pleased with the distinction it brings to the U of A.

"I am really proud to be associated with the National College Testing Association and to have served in so many capacities," she said. "I am so honored and grateful to receive this service award by such a prestigious organization and thank the National College Testing Association for all the opportunities I was offered for professional and personal development."

With more than 2,220 members from more than 2,000 institutions and corporations, the National College Testing Association is the largest organization in the world dedicated to the establishment, recognition and promotion of professional testing standards and practices.

During the 2014-15 academic year, the Office of Testing Services administered tests to more than 12,000 students and prospective students. The office is currently going through a multi-level evaluation process to earn National Collegiate Testing Association certification. The certification process will help the center enhance the assessment experience of test-takers, as well as contribute to the testing staff's professional development.
