Student Documentary Films to Premiere Monday, Oct. 5

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Three new documentary films produced by students in the Walter J. Lemke Department of Journalism will premiere in a showcase screening at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, in 102 Kimpel Hall on the University of Arkansas campus.

The films are:   

  • Maker: The Art of Terry Borman profiles a Fayetteville craftsman who makes violins that are played by some of the finest classical musicians in the world. Website: violinmakermovie.weebly.com.
  • All the News That's Fit to Click explores the world of online journalism through a collection of local reporters at the Fayetteville Flyer, The City Wire, Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and Blue Hog Report blog. Website: newstoclick.weebly.com.
  • Slithering Home takes viewers into the world of those who keep venomous snakes as pets. Website: slitheringhome.weebly.com.

The filmmakers will be present to answer questions and discuss their experiences producing the films.

Paid parking is available in the nearby Harmon Avenue Parking Facility.
