Education Researcher to Talk Friday About Evaluation Project in New York
Rebecca Unterman, research associate for the Manpower Demonstration Research Corp., will speak at noon Friday, Sept. 25, on the University of Arkansas campus. The title of her lecture is "New York City Small Schools of Choice Evaluation."
According to its website, Manpower Demonstration Research Corp. is committed to finding solutions to some of the most difficult problems facing the nation — from reducing poverty and bolstering economic self-sufficiency to improving public education and college graduation rates. Unterman is a lead investigator on a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-funded study of small schools of choice in New York City.
The lecture is part of the Department of Education Reform Lecture Series and will take place in the Graduate Education Building, Room 309.
Those planning to attend any of the lectures in the series are asked to RSVP on the Department of Education Reform's website before 1 p.m. the Wednesday preceding the lecture.
