Partnership Provides Google Analytics Class for Business Professionals

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Professionals can register online for a two-day course in October at the Global Campus in Rogers to learn how to use Google Analytics to examine their websites’ effectiveness and productivity.

Collective Bias, a marketing and advertising company from Bentonville, is partnering with the Global Campus to offer the class. Instructors from Collective Bias will show participants how to set up Google Analytics accounts and use the tool to analyze data for reports on the audience participation, traffic, content and conversion.

Seating is limited to 12 people. The analytics class runs from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 12 and 13, at the Global Campus in Rogers, 3300 Market St. The cost is $199, but U of A students, faculty, staff and Alumni Association members pay $149.

“Google analytics is the fundamental measurement tool for all things digital, and the principles taught in the class will help you, whether you're tracking your personal blog traffic month over month or trying to increase conversions for a large e-commerce business,” said Joe Murphy, a Collective Bias director with 12 years of experience in sales, marketing and product development.

Other instructors for the class include Brent Snyder, an analytics manager with a bachelor’s degree in business economics; and Nick Walton, an analytics coordinator with a degree in economics.

The six lessons in the class include:

  1. Implementing Google Analytics
  2. Managing Google Analytics accounts
  3. Manipulating the table structure
  4. Reviewing and configuring dashboards and alerts
  5. Analyzing data with audience and traffic reports
  6. Analyzing data with content and conversion reports

“The Global Campus is partnering with Collective Bias and other local industry and businesses to offer a wider variety of technology classes for people who want to excel in the workplace,” said Starlyn Danley, Global Campus coordinator of computer training. “These classes provide special opportunities for the community to learn skills and knowledge from experts in their fields.”
