Harmon Shop to Close After 9 Years of Operation

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The Harmon Shop will close for business Aug 14 after 9 years of operation. The Harmon Shop was opened in August, 2006 in order to take care of university customers in the south part of campus after the construction of the Harmon Avenue Garage. Services provided at the store included essential school supplies, Razorback merchandise, dry cleaning and laundry services, photo processing and convenience store type refreshments.

In recent years similar services have been added in operations near the garage, decreasing the need for the Harmon Garage location. Vending machines are being added to Hillside Auditorium and Kimpel Hall to provide school supplies and test forms. Razorback Laundry will continue providing dry cleaning and laundry services. Passport photos and shipping services are available through the Post Office in the Arkansas Union. The Harmon Shop personnel and merchandise will be transferred to other bookstore operations.
