Author Mara Leveritt and Journalist Benji Hardy will discuss investigative journalism

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- KUAF will host a panel discussion focusing on the state of investigative journalism as part of its 30th anniversary celebration. The event will be at 1:30 p.m,Saturday August 8th at the Fayetteville Public Library. 

KUAF news director Kyle Kellams will moderate the discussion with investigative journalists Mara Leveritt and Benji Hardy. Leveritt is the author of several books, including The Devil's Knot, about the case of the 'West Memphis Three'. Hardy, a reporter with the Arkansas Times, gained national attention this year with his reporting on Arkansas Representative Justin Harris and the Arkansas Department of Human Services.  

Leveritt and Hardywill discuss these specific stories, what this kind of investigative work takes and how important it is to the landscape of journalism as it currently exists.

This event is free and open to the public. No reservations are required, but seating is limited.
