Section of Fairview Street to Be Closed for Construction This Week

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Construction workers installing a new gas main will need to close off a roughly 100 foot section of Fairview Street, between Harmon and McIlroy Avenues.

The section of Fairview Street west of the corner of Harmon Avenue is expected to be closed from Monday, June 22 until Friday, June 26, depending on conditions.

Detour signs will be posted.

Drivers trying to get to the Donald W. Reynolds Center, the Walton College of Business or the University of Arkansas Press will have to go from Dickson Street to Garland Avenue and then south behind Yocum Hall to access Fairview from the Yocum Hall parking lot. Traffic may be blocked for short periods when heavy equipment is being moved.
