FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas alumnus Chad Hendrix is honoring his high school and college alma maters, as well as his company, by creating the Everett Buick GMC Endowed Scholarship Fund for students enrolled in the Sam M. Walton College of Business. The $50,000 endowment will benefit students from Benton High School, where Hendrix, his wife and his family attended.

“I want to be a good partner and supporter of the Walton College,” said Hendrix, who serves on the college’s Dean’s Alumni Advisory Council. “This scholarship allows me to support two very important schools in my life, and my hope is that it will really make a difference in other students’ lives for years to come.”

In addition to being a Benton High School graduate, recipients of the Everett Buick GMC Endowed Scholarship must hold a 3.0 grade point average or above in high school and demonstrate financial need. The scholarship is renewable for four years, as long as the recipient’s academic performance is maintained.

Hendrix and his wife, Anna Everett-Hendrix, both hold degrees from the University of Arkansas. Hendrix graduated with a degree in finance in 2004, and Everett-Hendrix earned a degree in kinesiology in 2006 from the College of Education and Health Professions. Both are members of the Arkansas Alumni Association.

Everett Buick GMC encompasses five dealerships within the state and has locations in Bryant, west Little Rock, Bentonville and Springdale. Hendrix serves as the general manager for the Bryant location, which is the number one volume Buick GMC dealership in the nation.
