Conference to Focus on Supply Chain Agility Amid Tight Capacity
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The annual conference of the Supply Chain Management Research Center of the Sam M. Walton College of Business will focus on the importance of supply chain agility in a time of tight capacity.
The 14th annual conference will be held April 22 at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville. Early registration is encouraged as seating is limited.
Keynote speakers for the event are Rodney Slater, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation; Shelley Simpson, chief marketing officer, executive vice president and president of Integrated Capacity Solutions and Truck, J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc.; Tracy Rosser, senior vice president of Transportation and Supply Chain, Walmart; and Michael Miller, managing director, Transportation Investment Banking, Stephens Inc.
Conference topics include Supply Chain Agility: the Role of Strategic Alignment and Why is it Critical to Focus on Supply Chain Agility? A panel presentation will focus on Dealing with Stressed Capacity: The Manufacturers’ View featuring Wendy Herrick, vice president of Customer Supply Chain Organization, Unilever; Wayne E. Skinner, senior vice president, Customer Logistics Services, Kellogg Company; and Todd Schultz, transportation and business insights manager, General Mills. Matthew Waller, associate dean for executive education, chair of the Department of Supply Chain Management, and Garrison Endowed Chair in Supply Chain Management, will moderate the panel.
