Arkansas Alumni Association to Honor 22 Razorback Classics at Cardinal & White Banquet
The Arkansas Alumni Association will honor 22 outstanding University of Arkansas seniors during the first Cardinal & White Banquet presented by First Security at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House.
A panel of more than 40 distinguished alumni selected the 22 Razorback Classics from the 71 Seniors of Significance who were recognized earlier this spring. These students were selected last fall from more than 400 nominations. Each student was selected for his or her academic excellence, demonstrated leadership and significant campus and/or community involvement and will receive a special honor cord to wear at commencement.
In addition, the top male and top female student will be announced and recognized as the 50th Senior Honor Citation recipients. These two students who win this prestigious honor will receive a life membership in the Arkansas Alumni Association and permanent recognition on a plaque at the Alumni House.
"We are very excited to honor these exceptional students. The Alumni Association is proud of them and their accomplishments," said Ryan Miller, assistant director of student and young alumni programs. "There are so many amazing students at the University of Arkansas! The committee truly struggled with narrowing down the selection from 71 to 22 students. We are also looking forward to inviting back the previous 98 winners of the Senior Honor Citation to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this award!"
