University Recreation's Outdoor Connection Center to Host Mountain Biking Trip

University Recreation invites you to join the Outdoor Connection Center for the spring break of a lifetime. The OCC will be driving to one of the most beautiful and unique landscapes in the United States, Moab, Utah. While there, the group will camp next to the Colorado River where it winds through sandstone bluffs on the north side of town. Two miles north of the campsite lies Arches National Park, where the group will spend two days hiking and visiting one of the most photographed sites in the area, Delicate Arch. Moab is known for its unique and extensive opportunities for mountain biking.

“This trip is a great way to experience a familiar activity in an unfamiliar and adventurous destination,” said Mike Hoover, assistant director of the OCC.

The group will spend three days mountain biking through some of the most renowned trails in North America. The cost of the trip is $449 for students and $499 for faculty, staff and UREC members. The cost includes bike rental, transportation, camping equipment, camping fees, park entry fees, and meals. This will be the sixth time the OCC has taken this trip over the past several years. While this trip is great for riders of all skill levels, a moderate amount of physical fitness is recommended.
