FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Yassaman Mirdamadi, director of the Office of Testing Services, has been awarded the 2014 Service Recognition Award from the National College Testing Association.

Mirdamadi currently serves as a member of the association’s Governing Council, Conference Committee and Strategic Planning Committee. She also chairs the Sponsorships and Exhibits Committee. Her involvement on those committees, paired with the success the University of Arkansas’ Office of Testing Services has seen in her 28 years as director, contributed to her selection as the award recipient.

Mirdamadi was thrilled to be recognized by the association and delighted with the distinction it brings to the U of A.

“This organization is highly regarded by both the testing professionals in this country and abroad, as well as the testing corporations we work with,” she said. “Receiving a service award from this organization is simply an honor that I am very proud of.”

During the 2013-2014 academic year, the Office of Testing Services tested approximately 12,000 individuals and was recognized for Excellence in Test Security by Pearson VUE.

The National College Testing Association is the largest organization in the world dedicated to the establishment, recognition and promotion of professional testing standards and practices.
