The Arkansas Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the first class of Seniors of Significance. In honor of the university’s founding date of 1871, 71 outstanding graduating students will be recognized as well as their faculty or staff mentor at a reception in January 2015.

This year we are celebrating the 50th year of honoring a senior male and female undergraduate through the Senior Honor Citation program, as well as the re-established Razorback Classics program. Students selected as Seniors of Significance will have the opportunity to update their application in the 2015 spring semester to be further considered for these awards.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated in identifying seniors who would be deserving candidates for these honors. We are looking for exceptional seniors who combine academic achievement, leadership skills and substantial extracurricular campus and/or community activities. The students must graduate as members of the Class of 2015 (graduating December ’14, May ’15, or
August ’15.)

If you know a student who meets those qualifications, please send his or her name and UARK e-mail address to studentawards@arkansasalumni.org. Nominated students will receive information from the Arkansas Alumni Association stating they have been recommended for this opportunity and instructions on how to apply.

For award guidelines or to apply, visit www.arkansasalumni.org/studentawards. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5.

Thank you for helping us recognize outstanding students – and expand a University tradition! If you have any questions, please contact Ryan Miller at 575-2801 or romille@uark.edu.
