5-K Run Saturday to Benefit One of Our Own
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arnold Air Society, a registered student organization, will host a 5-K run on Saturday to benefit the Sheep Dog Impact Assistance non-profit organization and U of A Air Force ROTC Sgt. Michelle Doss, whose daughter Alexis is in critical condition with a traumatic head injury. Proceeds will help cover her present and future care.
Members of the Arnold Air Society urge everyone who wants to help to come out and run.
The 5-K starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 on the Old Main Lawn. It is open to the public and the fee is $15. Additional donations earmarked for Alexis are welcome. A Facebook event has been created for the run. Participants can sign up on the day of the event, or register directly.
The Sheep Dog Impact Assistance, whose members are known as “Sheep Dogs,” is an all-volunteer organization that serves the needs of those serving in the military, law enforcement, fire and rescue and emergency medical services.
