Online or Hero Card? Either Way Works for Everyday Heroes Live United Campaign
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The U of A Everyday Heroes Live United Campaign ends on Friday, Oct. 31. So far campus faculty and staff have taken the opportunity to give more than $109,000 to the United Way of Northwest Arkansas, 73 percent of the campaign goal.
There are three days left to make a donation and two ways to do it.
Faculty and staff can go online to the secure campus website and click on the red Donate Now button. That takes you to an individual portal on the United Way of Northwest Arkansas site, offering a variety of options for making a donation -- from payroll deduction to a simple “Bill me” request. Every way except by credit card – that’s one more security precaution.
Just as easy, you can fill out your individual Hero Card and give it to the campus coordinator for your unit. The Hero Card offers the same donation options as online – plus one: you can slip cash or a check in the card, seal it up, and turn it in.
No donation is too small to help the United Way of Northwest Arkansas make a difference Every Day.
Not sure who your campus coordinator is? Here’s a list.
Whether you donate online or by card, please turn in your Hero Card. Even if you don’t donate money, you probably have other ways you contribute to your community. You can mark a box on your Hero Card to indicate that – and that participation is just as important to the campaign as a cash donation.
Turning in the Hero Card also makes you eligible for a drawing to win a $100 gift card. Fourteen of your colleagues have already won. Six more names will be drawn on Friday, Nov. 7.
