M.A.T. Informational Meeting Set for Oct. 29
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas students interested in pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in secondary education are invited to attend an informational meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, in the Graduate Education Building auditorium foyer.
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education and Health Professions and the Fulbright Advising Center are sponsoring the meeting. Pizza will be served.
According to program information, graduates of the M.A.T. program in secondary education are well-prepared professionals who:
- Earn a master’s degree in one year
- Receive a standard five-year license
- Can teach in most states
- Have extensive and varied student teaching
- Get hired first
- Receive higher starting pay
- Are eligible for scholarships
