Graduate Students to Discuss Exercise Science Research
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — University of Arkansas graduate students Jenna Burchfield, Nicole Moyen and Megan Rosa will present their research from 2-3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, as part of the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation Research Seminar Series.
The seminars, which are free and open to the public, will be in Room 316 of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building.
Burchfield, a master’s student who works with Matt Ganio, assistant professor of kinesiology, will present “Additive Effects of Mild Dehydration and Hyperthermia on Mood in Young Females.”
Moyen, a doctoral student who also works with Ganio, will present “Cutaneous Vascular and Sudomotor Responses to Passive Heat-Stress in Smokers and Non-smokers.”
Rosa, a master’s student who works with Nicholas Greene, assistant professor of kinesiology, in his Integrative Muscle Metabolism Laboratory, will present “Investigating Mitochondrial Autophagy after Voluntary Wheel Running in Western Diet Field Mice.”
The purpose of the seminar series is to expose students and faculty to research being conducted in the department. Refreshments will be served.
