FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Kathy Deck, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research, will present her regular Quarterly Business Analysis along with the State of the Northwest Arkansas Region Report at a luncheon event 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Holiday Inn, 1500 S. 48th St., Springdale.

Deck’s popular sessions feature business highlights of the previous quarter, key economic trends and projections and immediate and long-term issues facing the regional and state economy.

The program will last approximately 90 minutes, including time for question and answer. The cost for the Quarterly Business Analysis program and luncheon is $30. Preregistration is required, and the deadline is Monday, Sept. 29. Reservations can be made online for the luncheon at or by calling 479-575-4151.

The event is a partnership between the Center for Business and Economic Research in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas and the Northwest Arkansas Council.

“We are thrilled to expand our Quarterly Business Analysis event to include the highlights from our State of the Northwest Arkansas Region Report,” Deck said. “Partnering with the Northwest Arkansas Council to produce this snapshot is another way the center brings good economic information to the leaders of Northwest Arkansas and provides up-to-date data and trends.”

The purpose of the Quarterly Business Analysis program is to build networks of leaders from business, academic and governmental sectors in the region. The goal is solid and sustainable economic development in Arkansas. The State of the Northwest Arkansas Region report describes the competitive landscape in Northwest Arkansas.
