FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Police Department, working with students from UA Productions, will film an active shooter training video today, Monday, Aug. 4 at the J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. Center for Academic Excellence.

The filming process is expected to take most of the day. The building will be essentially closed to anyone not involved in the production.

The video will demonstrate how to respond to an active-shooter incident on campus. It will follow a gunman through a campus building, giving the viewer instructions on what to do should they encounter this situation. When finished, the video will be available campus-wide for training purposes.

UA Productions is a group of student filmmakers working in the Division of Student Affairs.

Signs will be posted on the doors of the building and the grounds around the building notifying the campus community that there is a movie being made. The production will start at 8 a.m. and run through most of the day.
