Women who skip breakfast needed for a paid research study

FAYETTEVILLE --The Department of Food Science at the University of Arkansas is recruiting women ages 18-36 years of age to participate in a research study. Those taking past will receive a $50 Walmart gift card.  To qualify, you must regularly skip breakfast at least five days per week.

The study involves eating breakfast for 1 week and measuring the following: body composition through DXA (dual energy x-ray absorptiometry); resting metabolic rate through indirect calorimetry; blood glucose via finger stick; satiety through visual analogue scales. The study will also analyze food intake through completion of a three day food record. Participants may also be required to eat a fixed breakfast for seven days.
