Student Standards and Conduct Office Has Moved to Pomfret Hall

Student Standards and Conduct office has moved to the B-wing of Pomfret Hall in room B110. The office was previously located in Arkansas Union room 634.

“The move has provided us with additional office space for future expansion,” said Rachel Eikenberry, director of student standards and conduct. “The new space also has a conference room and classroom that allows us to expand our class and workshop offerings, as well as host board hearings regarding student disciplinary matters.”

In the Union some of the staff shared office space, which posed challenges during disciplinary hearings. In the new space there are no shared office spaces giving additional privacy to address discrete and sensitive student matters without displacing someone for a period of time.

Students, faculty or staff who need to visit with Student Standards and Conduct should come to the front door of Pomfret Hall, which is located off the circle drive on the south side of the building. Faculty, staff and resident reserved parking is available nearby, and there are 4 metered-parking spots near the front door as well.

Student Standards and Conduct promotes a safe and orderly community through the education of students, the enforcement of behavioral standards, peer mentoring, and leadership development. The group’s mission is to aid in the development of student ethics that embrace the norms and values as well as to educate students about their rights and responsibilities as community members. The ultimate goal is to help students understand the balance between individual rights and community rights and foster an atmosphere that is conducive to academic success.
