Do you have a triathlon or outdoor swim event coming up this summer?  University Recreation is offering a clinic to develop practice your open water swimming skills in a no-barriers pool environment on Sunday, May 11.

This one-session clinic is designed for the triathlete who is preparing for outdoor triathlon season. With no lane or section ropes, participants will practice skills such as sighting, turning at buoys, and stretching out their strokes. The clinic will be taught by Mavie Hogue, an experienced triathlete and fitness coach in the Northwest Arkansas area.

Participants should be able to comfortably perform basic freestyle swim strokes and breathing.

The clinic will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 11, in the HPER Natatorium. Cost is $15 U of A students; $20 UREC members; $25 UREC non-members with an active Arkansas Alumni Association membership or faculty/staff status.  UREC non-members with no active U of A affiliation must purchase a guest pass with registration.
