Memorial Ceremony to Honor Students Who Have Died During Past Year and Previously

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas will hold its student commemoration ceremony, A Razorback Remembrance, at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, in the Boyer Hall of the Janelle Y. Hembree House at Razorback Road and Maple Street. This gathering commemorates the lives of those students who have died this year and in years past. The Division of Student Affairs would like to acknowledge the contributions that those individuals made to the community and the Razorback family.

“We host this memorial every other year to recognize, remember and give thanks for the contributions of those who are no longer with us,” said Aisha Kenner, associate dean of students. “It is important for us to celebrate the lives of those students and the contributions they have made to campus and community and all of our lives. We want the family members and those who were impacted by their lives to know the University of Arkansas family will miss them as well.”

The ceremony will include speakers, musical performances and a moment of silence. A reception will follow.
