Students: Post Pictures to Win Prizes

Did you know that generous donors support your education and experience at the YOU of A? They do! Their gifts help fund our colleges and departments, the buildings that house us, the activities we participate in, the scholarships that support us and all of the other things that make it great to be a Razorback.

To say thanks, all students are invited to join in a week-long philanthropy photo scavenger hunt starting today and ending next Wednesday during the university’s third annual Thank a Donor Day event.  Each day, a philanthropy fact and photo challenge will be posted on Facebook and on signs around campus.  Two daily winners will be randomly selected to receive a specially designed Razorback t-shirt, and all participants will be entered into the grand-prize drawing for SteelSeries Flux In-Ear headphones — a $50 value — at the end of the week.

Here’s a sneak peek of the daily photo challenges:

  • Thursday, April 10 – Take a picture of something on campus you appreciate and know would not be here without our generous donors.
  • Friday, April 11 – Take a picture by your college or school or another program on campus that you’ve personally benefitted from.
  • Saturday, April 12 – Take a picture with Il Porcellino, located in front of University House on the corner of Maple and Lindell.
  • Sunday, April 13 – Take a selfie with the university’s longest tradition, Senior Walk!
  • Monday, April 14 – Take a picture with a faculty or staff member who has impacted your YOU of A experience.
  • Tuesday, April 15 – Take a picture of your favorite enhancement on campus.
  • Wednesday, April 16 – Stop by the Thank a Donor Day event on the Union Mall between 11:00 – 2:00 and take a picture with the gigantic thank you card.

Each day you take a picture and post it to the University of Arkansas Annual Fund Facebook page, you’ll be entered into the daily t-shirt drawing and the grand-prize drawing.  So, the more days you participate, the more chances you have to win! Be sure to use #thankadonorday and #YOUofA in your posts.

The philanthropy photo scavenger hunt is being held in conjunction with Thank a Donor Day — a day set aside each year to thank the many alumni, friends, faculty, staff, parents and students who give back to the YOU of A financially.
