Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week to Host Several Events

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week will host a variety of events March 3 through March 8. The fashion shows will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. The student designer night will feature six University of Arkansas student designers at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, at the 21c Museum Hotel. Twenty-four local boutiques will present their clothes during the boutique runway at 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 7, and Saturday, March 8, at The Daily Record.

The Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week was created on behalf of an organic group of designers, boutiques and other market leaders who are committed to creating a vibrant and exciting fashion community in Northwest Arkansas. It raises money for eleven local charities. The charities included are Teen Action & Support Center, Youth Strategies, Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas, Restore Humanity, Ozark Guidance, Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter, Junior League of NWA, The Miller McNeil Woodruff Foundation, Art Amiss, 7 Hills Homeless Center and Spay Arkansas.

The shopping night out will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, March 3, in Bentonville. The next shopping night out and the little black dress party will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, in the Fayetteville Square. The industry launch party will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at the Fairlane Station in downtown Springdale.

There will be an Instagram caption contest on the University of Arkansas campus Feb. 24 through 28.  Cardboard cutouts of paparazzi will be located in the Union mall and in Brough Commons to promote the contest. To enter the contest contestants must Instagram a picture with the cardboard cutout and include a creative caption along with the contest hastags. The winner with the most creative caption will receive two free tickets to the Thursday night runway show. 

Tickets for each show may be purchased online at www.nwafw.com. General admission tickets are $75 and VIP tickets are $150.
