Members of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity at the University of Arkansas served the community at the annual Robert Burns Night Supper at the St. Pauls Episcopal Church on Saturday, Jan. 24.

Robert Burns was a Scottish poet known as the national poet of Scotland and a pioneer of the romantic movement. Burns suppers are held around the world in memory of the famous Scottish poet who died in July of 1796.

The Burns dinner in Fayetteville has lasted more than 25 years and is more successful than ever with plenty of Scottish home cooking and traditions, including kilts and live bagpipes.

The men of Phi Gamma Delta have served the Robert Burns dinner for a consecutive three years and have become fond of Nina Simmons, an active member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church and administrative assistant for the University of Arkansas Honors College.

Members of the fraternity take pride in serving the community and look forward to volunteering for the Burns DInner for years to come.

Philanthropy events and requests are to be directed to the Phi Gamma Delta philanthropy chair Griffin Marczuk at grif333@sbcglobal.net.
