The Associated Student Government will be hosting a Razorback Readership Coffee Event from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the Arkansas Union. The event will give students the opportunity to learn more about the ASG Razorback Readership Program, a student-fee-funded program, as well as grab a hot cup of coffee. Free editions of USA Today, The New York Times, and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette will be available.

"The Razorback Readership Coffee Event provides the opportunity for students to learn more about the Razorback Readership Program. There are more opportunities than ever for students to get free news, and this event is the perfect way to learn about them," said Autumn Lewis, ASG chief of staff.

Students can learn where to pick up newspapers across campus, how to sign up for on-line editions, gain information on Web-based resources for use in and out of the classroom, and grab a cup of coffee.

"The Associated Student Government is proud to provide students with the Razorback Readership Program. Not only does it bring reliable information to students, it gives us the opportunity to engage in news at the local, national, and world level. It is vital that students be given a chance to recognize the world as it is, and Razorback Readership does just that at the swipe of a student I.D," said Bo Renner, ASG president.

Any questions should be referred to Elizabeth Pittman, Razorback Readership Chair at readship@uark.edu. More information can be found at asg.uark.edu.

The event/program is free to current University of Arkansas students as supported by the Associated Student Government through the office of student activities and funded by the student activities fee.
