Sikes Crowned Arkansas State Fair Queen

Suzie Sikes, a junior at the University of Arkansas, was crowned the 2014 Arkansas State Fair Queen on Saturday Night in Little Rock. Sikes is a poultry science and agricultural business major in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, and a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority.

She competed with 78 other county and district fair queens. Sikes also won the Overall Interview Award. For being selected as the 2014 State Fair Queen she received a $1000 College Scholarship and several other prizes.  She is the first Arkansas State Fair Queen from Benton County.

Sikes competed in the State Fair Queen competition as Miss Benton County Fair Queen. She will be visiting Rwanda, Africa, this summer as an intern for Cobb-Vantress. Sikes is a graduate of Gentry High School.
