Bob Frank

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Tommy Robert Frank, known as “Bob” to many University of Arkansas faculty – including a young Bill Clinton – passed away Aug. 24 at his home in Prairie Grove. He was 78 years old.

Bob started his work at the university in August 1959, and worked for many years as textbook manager at the University Bookstore and briefly as bookstore manager before he retired in 1993. During most of that time he worked closely with campus faculty, taking care of textbook adoptions and course material needs.

He was an avid Razorback fan. He worked with Boy Scouts and Band Boosters. He loved spending time with his family and was very proud of his children and grandchildren.

His friends and colleagues will miss him and wish his family peace during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 6 until 7 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 in the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or W.R.M.C. Hospice.
