FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The department of art in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences has established the Department of Art Advisory Board. The group held its inaugural meeting Friday, May 3.

“This group is made up of individuals who have demonstrated a strong commitment to the department’s academic programs, possessed broad experiences in the arts and are aware of the expectations placed upon the graduates within a global artistic arena,” said Jeannie Hulen, associate professor and chair in the department.

Board members include Cindy Arsaga, Suzannah Garrison, Kellie Lehr, Shane Richey, Kathy Thompson and Tim Walker of Fayetteville; Darrell and Lisa Walker and Jim Johnson of Little Rock; Boyce Billingsley of Bentonville; and Alice Stites of Louisville, Ky. The board will meet twice annually.

“The department continues to maintain record enrollment with nationally competitive undergraduate and graduate students, recruit highly qualified and noteworthy faculty and expand our facilities to enhance the student learning experience,” said Hulen. “This group will provide external insight to the department’s strategic vision and help us build additional support for the department and its programs as we grow.”
