The 15th annual Staff Appreciation Picnic and Vendor Fair is scheduled for Thursday, May 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

Each year, the Staff Senate plans and hosts this event to honor the hard-working staff of the University, utilizing donations from local vendors and businesses. “95 percent of the food, drinks, door prizes, grills, and ice cream are donated by businesses supporting the University of Arkansas,” said Melynda Hart, chair of the Special Events committee. “The Senate budget for this event is just a little over $1,000, so we truly feed over 1,200 people for under $1/person. We could never make this event happen without the support of our generous vendors and we are very grateful to them.” During the picnic, University administrators, coaches, and faculty leaders will serve as Guest Servers to show their support of the U of A staff.

During the picnic, University administrators, coaches, and faculty leaders will assist as Guest Servers to show their support of the U of A staff. And, with the assistance of Transit and Parking, buses will run multiple routes on campus to facilitate transportation to the stadium. Additionally, Lots 72 & 73 will be open for parking during the event and will not require a UA permit for parking during the picnic hours.

The Senate looks forward to another great year and exciting event. Please contact Melynda Hart at melhart@uark.edu for additional information.
